I'm at the Beach 1

This piece is inspired by the countless hours spend by the beach at the Danish island I'm from: Langeland. Light shades of blue and grey with white and dark blue brush strokes, creates an atmosphere of the nuances by the beach. The composition is relaxed, with a peaceful state of mind and a feeling of thoughtfulness.

I really enjoy painting on these raw canvases, since there is no way back, once the paint is on the canvas, there is no way of changing it, correcting it or starting over.  
When I'm working with these 'one-take' pieces, I therefore need to be at my must relaxed, comfortable and at ease.

Acrylics and pencil on raw cotton canvas. 
The canvas is mounted in a dark blue, stained by hand, beech floating frame, made at 'Frederiksberg indramning'.

I will host a vernissage in my living room, launching my next 8 originals. 
Some on canvas, some on paper, some framed, others not.
Everyone is welcome, bring your friend, date, aunt or colleaque and stop by for a cup of wine, vermouth and jazz.
